Accused of Collusion?!

Ok, so this is my first post, on my first ever blog...so, I hope it isn't completely lame. I just thought I'd start this by talking about something that happened last night while playing on Reefer Poker. I don't play on that site very often, maybe a few sessions a month or less. I was just there to mess around and see if one of my 3rd party software programs worked on the site (Holdem Genius) and see if I could increase my tiny $14 bankroll a bit.

Anyway, let's get to the hand details. This was a MTT, $3 Bounty Turbo with 91 entrants and payout was for the final table (10) only. We were down to 12 players on two tables (6 on each) and I had the 10th lowest chipstack. I had about $4,800 in chips at this time and the blinds were at $2,000 and $4,000 with $100 ante. Obviously, I needed to make a move immediately! My cards came QdJd one before the cutoff so I figured now was as good as ever. I went ALLIN and the table folded around to the BB. It was only about another $700 for him to call into about a $7,000 pot and he had about $12,000 left in his stack so I thought it would be an insta-call with any holding in this situation. UNBELIEVABLE! This joker folds and I take down the pot to survive! I have to admit, now one was more surprised than I to get away with this one...come to think of it...I don't believe I've EVER seen that happen to me or ANYONE. Needless to say, for the remainder of the tournament, everyone that witnessed the hand including a couple of railbirds were screaming that we were cheating, chip-dumping, on the telephone with each other and so on. I denied it, of course, but at the same time...I had no explanation for what the other player did and absolutely no chance of convincing anyone that I didn't do anything wrong. I went on to finish in 5th place taking down just under $15.00 for my $3.00 investment which was farther than the "other" accused player made it afterall. What the hell! I don't know if I'll ever know why the hand went down the way it did...and I have a feeling it's gonna bug me for a long time.

Anyway, look for me out there as "csvking" or "csvkng" depending on which poker site.
